The utensil with a thick base might have an 18/10 percentage of chromium and Nickel. That means this utensil base consists of 18% of Chromium and 10% Nickel. These two chemical elements in water make stainless steel resistant to corrosion. These metals or chemical elements are nonreactive to dishwashing detergents as well. These utensils come out very neat, dry, and clean. That’s why I can say that Stainless Steel can go in the dishwasher.
To simplify, we can say that the utensils that you feel are safe for the microwave will also be safe for the dishwasher.
